Electric Gauchos: Tiny Orchestral Tracks

Steve: Electric Gauchos was born in 1997 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and it was born out of my wish to bring driving rhythm to the already intensity of the driving, textural guitar work that had been developing within 12 years of global Guitar Craft collaborations.

Special thanks to Pablo Mandel for the bass line hook in this version of "Dark" where it emerged during the 'Greenthumb' recording sessions at Martin Schwutke's Buenos Aires flat on Pueyrredón in 1996.

"Dark"

features an excerpt from the original 1992 recording by "Prometheus" featuring Steve Ball, Sanford Ponder, Nigel Gavin and Pat Mastelotto -- this is the "Start it Now" section, featuring Nigel's original Bass solo.  The version we recorded w TOM at Peak Week IV was close to the 28th anniversary of Nigel's original bass solo!

Full, per-song credits coming soon.

Also, complementing this release, the 25 year anniversary remixes of the 1996 Los Gauchos Alemanes CD:  http://www.steveball.com/LGA
